Ocula Technologies is a fast-growing AI copywriter for ecommerce teams, enabling brands and retailers to create world-class product copy and metadata at scale. Our platform helps Heads of Ecommerce, merchandising managers, copywriters, and SEO experts deliver more engaging, search-optimised product experiences.
We work with 50+ clients today, from household names to ambitious growth brands, and are scaling quickly. Our sales cycles are short (~4 weeks), our contract values range from £2.5k to £100k+, and our R&D team is constantly introducing new agentic features for a fully self-serve, intelligent user experience.
About the role
We’re looking for a high-energy, results-driven Account Executive to join our growing commercial team. You’ll own the full sales cycle - from identifying prospects through to closing deals - and work closely with the CEO to help us scale revenue and expand our market presence.
You’ll be selling to ecommerce leaders and their teams, positioning Ocula’s Copywriter as the must-have solution for creating high-quality, high-impact product content at scale.
Reports to: CEO
Key Responsibilities
Own the sales process end-to-end - from prospecting and qualifying leads to running sales calls, demos, and closing contracts.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through outbound outreach, inbound lead management, and strategic networking.
Work with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and event strategies.
Understand client needs and position Ocula’s value proposition to decision-makers (Heads of Ecommerce, SEO Managers, Copywriting teams).
Negotiate commercial terms and manage contracts with precision and professionalism.
Maintain accurate deal tracking and forecasting in HubSpot.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success to ensure a smooth customer experience.
What we’re looking for
2+ years’ experience in a B2B sales role, ideally in SaaS.
Proven track record of closing deals and hitting or exceeding sales targets.
Knowledge of HubSpot (or similar CRM).
Comfortable selling to senior stakeholders in ecommerce or digital.
Strong pipeline management skills - disciplined, organised, and proactive.
High energy, personable, and confident — you’re as comfortable on a Zoom call as you are at an event.
Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
A genuine interest in AI, ecommerce, and technology.
Bonus points for:
Experience selling into ecommerce, retail, or digital marketing teams.
Understanding of SEO, content, and merchandising workflows.
Previous experience in a startup or scaleup environment.
Additional requirements
This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of two days per week in the office (London).
Occasional travel (20-30%) may be required for customer meetings and industry events.
